In the past few weeks we have had many conversations about the impact/necessity of artists, symbols, and stories. Humans love to be in control, and art asks just the opposite - it demands you lose control, that you surrender to the vulnerability and empathy conjured between both maker and viewer.

Our home of Minneapolis is at the center of the current, necessary fight towards a more equitable reality, with communities striving to access vulnerability and empathy from oppressive systems of control. Throughout history, the arts' ability to extract communion is what we have always needed, and will continue to need.

We share with you an incredible, living document of local and national community justice resources compiled and shared by  Twin Cities dance artist Alanna Morris-Van Tassel:

We recently received this message: "Your art and contribution to the lives of your artists, students, and audiences everywhere is immeasurable."

Thank you for standing with us and our Twin Cities communities.
