The annual Indian festival of Navarathri is a time when families welcome neighbors into their homes for a celebration rooted in the sharing of art. Last year's inaugural Ode to Navarathri was held in Saint Paul; this year, we invite you, your friends and your family to join us at our home - the Ragamala studios in Uptown Minneapolis. Together with several other artists and businesses of The Calhoun Arts Building, we are creating a building-wide celebration of art-sharing.
Enjoy open-studio rehearsals, kolu* display, performances, demonstrations, food tastings, and more at this free event
* Kolu is a vibrant display of figurines that is at the center of Navarathri celebrations, specific to homes in South India
Ode to Navarathri is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund, and a grant from the RBC Foundation - USA
