Artist talk: INVISIBLE CITIES

In celebration of Italo Calvino's 100th birthday, UCLA presents a conversation about adapting Invisible Cities for the stage with choreographer Ashwini Ramaswamy, moderated by Professors Robert Rushing and Cara Tovey.

Invisible Cities is Bharatanatyam choreographer and dancer Ashwini Ramaswamy’s reimagining of Italo Calvino’s metaphysical novel told through interwoven cultural perspectives and interactive projections created live by internationally-renowned visual artist Kevork Mourad. Invisible Cities features 10 dancers based in 4 dance forms - Bharatanatyam, Breaking, Modern, and Gaga.
